Emmetts Grange, an elegant Georgian style farmhouse overlooks a beautiful 900 acre moorland estate offers some of the most stunning views out onto the rugged beauty of the Exmoor landscape across which herds of deer can frequently be seen to roam.
Emmett’s Grange is the highest farm on Exmoor hence the clean fresh air and brilliant starlit night skies. Emmetts Grange, the main house sleeping 11, alongside a smaller Linhay, a ground floor studio apartment sleeping 2. Both provide superb luxury accommodation surrounded by formal gardens framed by mature beech trees and looking out onto fields and moorland. Emmett’s Grange boasts five bedrooms, each named after colourful characters associated with the history of the house. All tastefully furnished, three are en suite, and include colour televisions.
For anyone seeking to spend their holiday walking, riding, cycling or simply relaxing amidst beautiful scenery, the Grange is the perfect country house for a leisurely holiday spend a holiday in a unique and spectacular paradise.
The house provides a range of impressive living rooms, including a lounge, dining room for candle lit dinners, library with walk through sash windows to the lawn, large conservatory, large kitchen diner, music room with Steinway Grand piano and small office with broadband link. The additional Linhay can be booked out with the house for groups of 13, but also be booked out separately making it an ideal space for a couples retreat.
Guests enjoy sole use the estate which includes a games barn, croquet lawn and tennis court, and are free to roam the miles of stunning countryside Exmoor has to offer. Stabling is available on site for guests to bring their own horses while hunting, shooting, fishing and falconry can all be organised on request.
Away from the estate Emmett’s Grange is a perfect location from which to explore the wider North Devon and West Somerset area. With miles of long sandy beaches at Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe as well as rugged cliff top walks at Lynton and Lynmouth or the South West Coastal footpath, you are never far away from the sea. Alternatively the historic market towns of South Molton and Dulverton can provide an excellent day out, as well as the many miles of National Park moorland and river valleys that usually end up in a traditional pub or tea room..
