In the Garden Room Restaurant we aim to delight the gourmet and satisfy the connoisseur of fine food and wine. Fresh fish from the sea and carefully selected local produce are expertly prepared to uphold the Hotel's international reputation by a brigade of British and Continental Chefs.

Wine to compliment the food and to suit the most discerning palate will be found in our well-stocked cellar, featuring fine wines from around the world at reasonable prices.

Our 35 bedrooms are furnished and decorated with flair and originality with few sharing the same scheme. 32 have a view of the Estuary and there are several which have balconies. Of special note are our Premier Rooms which are particularly spacious, luxurious and enjoy the finest views. All rooms are equipped with colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryers, bathrobes and bathrooms en-suite with baths and showers.

Set in a commanding position, south facing in the tree-fringed sandy cove of South Sands, just inside the mouth of the outstandingly scenic Salcombe Estuary, you could not wish for a more ideal location for a short break or relaxing holiday. 

Salcombe, being one of the most southerly towns in England, enjoys a very equable all-year round climate, a fact borne out by the famous sub-tropical gardens at Overbecks on the hill above the Hotel. This makes this part of Devon (the South Hams) a delightful area to explore at any time of the year. Dartmouth, Totnes and Modbury are towns of charm and character, ideal for shopping or browsing.
